Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively initiative and working with plant peers and superiors to increase overall plant, management efficiency, and cost improvements;
- Responsible for governing the specifications for Control System hardware, software, and OT network infrastructure in the site, and ensuring compliance to all OT Cyber Security policies. (Scada, Siemens, Studio 5000);
- Provide technical leadership and governance on major site project implementations;
- Plan system improvements and upgrades to maintain the investments, increase efficiency, and ensure the lowest Total Cost of Ownership;
- Build capability into the site to support and sustain the critical systems, and provide technical support resources as required;
- Manage relationships with external system suppliers and partners to deliver performance and cost improvements;
- Organizes and coordinates daily electrical and automation, by established procedures (performs back-up to programs, troubleshooting, etc.)
- Proposes and fulfills the short-term maintenance, as well as long-term maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair plans, in collaboration with superiors and colleagues, regarding the technical problems and requirements, as well as the production program;
- Locates, diagnoses, and repairs defects in electronic/electrical equipment, systems that may involve complex circuits, as well as software programs, according to the manufacturer's specifications;
- Intervenes in the software programs of the machines to optimize/streamline their operation;
- Keep track of repairs made by recording them in the shift report.
Requirements:
- University degree in automatic or electronic field;
- 3 years minimum experience in a similar position and activity;
- Comprehensive technical experience in PLC, SCADA systems, and Historians;
- Foundational knowledge of networks, servers, and Microsoft operating systems;
- Wide-ranging knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes, and applications;
- Excellent documentation, communication, and facilitation skills;
- Ability to collaborate, and align teams behind shared goals;
- Ability to manage competing priorities, and formulate and deliver against time plans;
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to self-learn and innovate;
- Ability to explain complex technical issues/solutions to a non-technical audience.
