Position Overview:
As an Accountant you will be responsible for handling a variety of financial tasks, including preparing financial reports, managing general ledger accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
- Provide support on tax declarations and related activities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Monitor and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Continuously seek to improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACCA accreditation or equivalent certification preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
