Are you passionate about driving seamless B2B integrations and bringing systems to life? As an EDI B2Bi Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in revolutionizing how businesses connect and exchange data.
General Responsibilities:
Development and Integration:
- Create and implement translation mappings using cXML and other EDI formats.
- Configure and maintain client interfaces for B2B transactions, including punchout catalog setup and cXML transformation.
Transaction and Transmission Management:
- Manage cXML transactions such as purchase orders, invoices, advanced shipping notices (ASN), and other related documents.
- Resolve transmission failures and troubleshoot EDI process issues.
- Ensure efficient communication with external platforms using protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, JSON, and web services.
Collaboration with Procurement Platforms:
- Set up and manage punchout catalogs and cXML transactions within procurement platforms like Ariba, Coupa, and Taulia.
Automation and Security:
- Automate operational processes while adhering to strict security requirements.
- Develop tools for monitoring and managing production systems.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Work with internal teams and clients to ensure proper system integration and problem resolution.
- Explain technical processes and protocols to teams and management.
Specific Technical Responsibilities:
Data and Format Management:
- Work with various data formats (cXML, ANSI X12, XML, CSV, delimited, and positional flat files).
- Manage file transfers through protocols like FTPs, HTTP, HTTPS, and SOAP.
IT Infrastructure:
- Administer API connections for integration with external platforms.
- Configure SSH communication on UNIX, including key generation and management.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement industry best practices.
- Optimize processes related to infrastructure and development.
Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Implement, monitor, and manage systems and applications to ensure optimal performance.
B2B System Integration:
- Leverage experience with tools and platforms such as IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and Sterling Secure Proxy.
Must-Have Criteria:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in translation mapping using cXML, punchout, and web programming (IIS).
- Experience with cXML transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, ASN, and punchout catalogs (e.g., inventory, pricing).
- Familiarity with cXML transmissions via Web Services, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, NetSuite, .NET Framework.
- Hands-on experience with data formats such as cXML, ANSI X12, XML, CSV, and EDI.
Platforms and Tools:
- Strong understanding of procurement platforms like Ariba, Coupa, and Taulia, including punchout catalog setup.
- Experience in B2B punchout processes, cXML transformations, and customer interface configurations.
- Knowledge of API communication and UNIX-based SSH setup.
Problem-Solving:
- Proven ability to troubleshoot transmission failures and resolve EDI-related issues.
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills.

Advanced Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Perl scripting, Unix/Linux, Korn Shell scripting.
- Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (ISB2BI) and Sterling Secure Proxy.
- Basic knowledge of MQ tools and SOAP-based file transfer.

- Strong familiarity with B2B EDI terminology and standards (e.g., X12, EDI, XML, cXML).
