General Ledger Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Team Lead to join the team during an exciting period of transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Financial Oversight: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy and integrity, while identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
• Leadership in Month-End and Year-End Closing: Drive the closing processes, preparing
journal entries, financial statements, and reconciliations efficiently
• Advanced Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports tailored for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring strict compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Critical Variance Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis, investigate variances, and provide strategic insights to senior management
• Process Ownership & Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and accounting operations
• Audit & Compliance Leadership: Collaborate with auditors and ensure full readiness for financial audits, providing necessary documentation and strategic insights
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure financial alignment with business objectives and support decision-making
• Policy & Regulation Adherence: Ensure full compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant financial regulations
What We’re Looking For:
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a plus)
• 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a company undergoing transformation or rapid growth
• Experience in coordinating teams
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, German HGB, and experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel
• A self-starter mindset with the ability to learn independently, take ownership of projects, and bring innovative solutions to the table
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret financial data in a meaningful way
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to senior
management and influence decision-making
