Role description:
• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL code for database applications, procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
• Perform performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct testing and debugging of PL/SQL code to identify and resolve defects and issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, data models, and process flow diagrams.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for production database systems, including diagnosing and resolving database-related issues.
• Collaborate with database administrators to ensure the integrity, security, and performance of the database systems.
Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience as a PL/SQL Developer
• Excellent technical skills in Oracle PL/SQL, SQL and SQL tuning
• Strong understanding of relational databases
• Ability to design and develop complex application/components including packages, store procedures, functions, triggers
• Proficiency in data modelling and database design
• Data analysis skills
• Shell Scripting
• Analytical thinker experienced in a range of problem-solving techniques & approaches
• Team player who shares and collaborates, a keen listener and quick learner
• Communicates clearly and influences using coherent, fact and benefit-based proposals
• Enables experimentation and fast learning approaches to creating business solutions
• Understands key elements of security, risk & control.
