Purpose Of The Function:

One of the main tasks of the SCCM & Intune Engineer is to provide services for packaging and deploying applications on Windows, Linux, Mac and Android devices managed by IT Infrastructure department. The main responsibility for these services lies with the SCCM & Intune Engineer. He manages the list of allowed applications and computer hardware , including their version management.

In his role as SCCM & Intune Engineer, he ensures that Operating Systems, Applications and Plug-ins are kept up-to-date and security leaks are remedied in a timely manner. He reports on this on a regular periodic basis to his direct manager.

The SCCM & Intune Engineer has working knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager and Intune . He can troubleshoot and support the users of various hardware and software in accordance with SLA to ensure that the performance and availability of the IT infrastructure always meet the highest standards and that maximum productivity is achieved.

Responsibilities:

1. Software

Support, monitor, manage and install key software to maintain performance and availability and escalate as necessary.

• Regularly review the systems as described in the procedures
• Handling (escalated) helpdesk issues
• Hands-on experience deploying to Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS devices.
• Skilled in setting up Autopilot programs.
• Experience with software distribution/ deployments / upgrades (MSI, Win 32, Winget , PSADT), patch management, Windows as a Service and managing these management processes.
• Troubleshoot patches and have extensive experience in imaging design and installation.
• Contribute to new builds, migrations and upgrades.
• Monitor and analyze the health, performance, and security of devices and take appropriate actions to address issues.
• Experience with Microsoft Cloud/ Hybrid Cloud Management, onboarding , configuration and transition to the cloud .
• Strong PowerShell and scripting skills.
• Hands-on experience with Intune MDM and MAM concepts, PatchMyPC , Advanced Installer, DriveLock and AppLocker
• Skills in troubleshooting failed installations/logins.
• Applications software packaging (including Citrix published applications)

2. Hardware

Support, screen, manage and install key hardware to maintain performance and availability and escalate as necessary.

• Handling (escalated) helpdesk issues
• Create and maintain images to standardize installations
• Asset management
• Shared responsibility together with the IT Architect, the Server Team and the Support Team for determining the standard of the hardware to be used.
• Selecting and using the correct drivers for the selected hardware

3. Network

Maintain and support the IT data network to ensure connectivity to the company systems at all times

• Proper functioning of the staging network through testing and validation in collaboration with the Network team and the Server team.
• Knowledge of integration and network security.
• Understanding VPN, LAN, WAN, and voice network environments.
• Familiarity with routing protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and wireless technologies

4. Project Management

Advise on IT (infrastructure) projects, participate in them and/or lead them under the responsibility of the Infrastructure Manager in order to optimize the efficiency of the company's IT infrastructure.

• Develop comprehensive SCCM/ Intune implementation plans tailored to meet organizational requirements
• Plan major rollouts including testing and validation with pre-pilots and pilots.
• Coordinate testing with pre-pilots and pilots.

5. Knowledge Management

Provide technical expertise, provide training and develop documentation for users, IT department or external partners to ensure knowledge building and transfer within the organization.

• Adhere to and assist in enforcing standard policies and procedures
• Develop documentation, including user manuals
• Advising on technical problems
• Create and maintain SCCM/ Intune configuration and design documentation and implement required configurations based on project specifications.

6. Security

Provide, collaborate and/or lead technical expertise under the responsibility of the Infrastructure Manager to optimize the security of company's IT infrastructure.

• In-depth knowledge of end -to -end configurations and policies.
• Experience with compliance and conditional access policies.
• Familiarity with Endpoint security, Microsoft Defender , firewall configurations and URL/domain whitelisting .
• Advising on Device Security Policy and implementing it.
