Regional Category Manager

The Regional Category Manager is responsible for leading supply chain initiatives to achieve key goals, including strategic material cost reduction, long-term commodity sourcing strategies, and driving continuous improvement within the European Supply Chain.
This person will also be responsible for creating a specialist ‘go-to’ point for Machined Parts, Fasteners, Rubber and Springs.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- To lead and motivate a team of Strategic Sourcing Specialists to deliver on the Cluj P.O.R.
- To collaborate with key stakeholders to align sourcing activities with business goals.
- To manage the commodity budget and create a supplier capability matrix for machined parts, fasteners, rubber and springs.
- To develop and execute category strategies to improve delivery, lead times, cost savings, payment terms, and supplier consolidation.
- To drive cost reductions through proactive procurement strategies.
- To ensure material availability to consistently meet customer expectations.
- To build and manage strong supplier relationships while driving supplier development.
- To oversee and own the supplier selection process.
- To standardize reporting, processes, and project management using available systems and tools.
- To define and implement future supply chain strategy and vision, while sharing best practices globally.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Degree qualified ideally within an engineering or technical field.
- Solid track record within Supply Chain and procurement, ideally in a global multinational business.
- Can-do approach and able to work collaboratively across a range of local, European and global stakeholders.
- Technical understanding of purchased parts.
- Ability to work collaboratively and successfully within a matrix organization.
- Fluent level in English; Italian language is an advantage.
- Advanced MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Knowledge and experience in various commodities. An advantage would be machined parts, fasteners, rubber and springs.
- Knowledge of MRP (preferred Oracle and/or SAP).
