We are seeking talented finance professionals to join a newly created team as part of a unique collaboration:
Your key responsibilities:
Accounting Tasks:
Oversee journal postings for both technical and non-technical topics, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards;
Manage cash settlement processes, leading closing activities in accounting systems (e.g., SAP, OMEGA), including complex foreign exchange runs and open item resolution;
Review and approve journal entries and adjustments made by junior staff, providing guidance and training as needed;
Reconciliation:
Lead reconciliations for intercompany operations and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies efficiently;
Oversee the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with data from source systems and technical accounting tools, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
Analysis and Reporting:
Prepare and review comprehensive analysis memos (e.g. claims movements, unusual technical events) providing insights to senior staff;
Conduct in-depth baseline results analysis, focusing on new, renewed, and canceled business, including technical results and IFRS17 KPIs;
Generate detailed reports and perform advanced analysis on FX movements, tax balances, and expense trends, presenting findings to stakeholders.
Audit & Compliance Support:
Provide support to local finance teams for internal and external audit requests, preparing audit documentation and addressing queries effectively.
Systems:
Accounting tool: SAP GL;
Reporting / Analysis tool: Business Object;
Consolidation reporting: SAP BFC.
Skills and attributes for success:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred;
3-6 years of experience in accounting within the insurance industry;
Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP) and MS Excel;
Strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of IFRS standards and regulatory requirements;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
English level - Advanced.
