Group Controller
Join the team as a Group Controller and drive performance through planning, analysis, and reporting, playing a key role in business decision-making.
Our client is a well-established international group, operating across multiple business lines, with a strong focus on growth, operational efficiency, and financial performance. The company is currently strengthening its finance function to enhance planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making at group level.
We are looking for an experienced Group Controller to act as a key partner to the CFO and executive team. This is a hands-on, all-rounder role combining financial planning, performance analysis, and group-level reporting, with a strong focus on P&L, balance sheet, and business insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and drive the group-wide strategic planning process (multi-year plans and annual budgeting)
Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment across entities and functions
Perform budget vs. actual analysis, monitor financial performance, and explain key deviations
Oversee and analyze group financial position (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and provide actionable insights
Manage and optimize standard costing processes, with focus on raw materials and operational costs
Conduct variance analysis, identify root causes, and assess financial impact on business performance
Evaluate profitability across cost/profit centers, projects, and departments and assess ROI of key initiatives
Prepare and deliver periodic financial reports and executive presentations for senior management and shareholders
Support consolidation of financial data across entities, ensuring consistency and compliance with applicable standards (IFRS)
Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and controlling processes, improving automation and data quality
Monitor and manage key financial risks, supporting proactive decision-making
Ensure compliance with internal procedures, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
Act as a business partner to senior stakeholders, providing financial guidance and supporting strategic decisions
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and operations
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role (Group Controller, Financial Controller, Business Controller)
Strong expertise in FP&A, financial controlling, and group reporting
Experience in multi-entity environments, ideally within production or industrial sectors
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced reporting tools (Excel mandatory)
Solid understanding of financial statements, consolidation principles, and cost structures
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data
Strong business acumen and ability to translate numbers into actionable insights
Entrepreneurial mindset: hands-on, proactive, and execution-focused
Strong interpersonal skills: persuasive, adaptable, and able to work with diverse stakeholders
Experience working closely with senior leadership (CFO, executives)
High level of ownership, flexibility, and ability to navigate ambiguity in a dynamic environment
Excellent English language skills
